Mini Christmas Fireplace

Posted 2015-12-01 by Stephanie follow
December is a great time to make some festive decorations. If you do not have a fireplace, make this craft with the kids to add to the decor. It is very simple to make and very festive-looking. Feel free to make a bigger one if you do have a bigger box.

Time: 20 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
  • A box (I used a cereal box)
  • White and red A4 paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A compass
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Yellow, orange and red paper (for the fire)

  • Method
  • Cover the box with the white paper using glue.
  • Let to dry. Then make the fireplace's opening by marking with the ruler and pencil. Make the semi-circle using a compass or a round plate.
  • Carefully cut and trim around.
  • Cut the red papers in small rectangles for the bricks.Place the red bricks on the box for a preview and then glue.

  • Make the fire by scrunching the yellow, orange and red papers and put inside the opening.
  • Decorate your fireplace and it is ready.
