Mini Lava Lamp

Materials
Small glass bottle or jar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup canola Oil
Food colour of your choice for colouring
1 tablet of alka seltzer
Method
Fill the glass bottle 1/4 with water
Fill the 3/4 with canola oil
Put in a few drops of food colouring.
Wait for a minute or two for the colour to settle down to the bottom of the bottle.
Now it's time to put in half of the alka seltzer tablet.
Put in half the tablet.
Wait and watch how the reaction between the three ingredients creates a beautiful lava lamp.
