Orange Jack-O-Lantern

Why not take an orange and turn it into an easy Jack O Lantern to celebrate Halloween this year? You will need a sharp knife and the orange itself can be filled with fruit for Halloween breakfast, or place a candle inside for a Halloween night table decoration.

Time: 5 - 10 minutes
Age: Over 10's
Level: Medium

Materials

1 orange
1 sharp knife

Take a whole orange


Method

Cut a round hole in the top of your orange using a sharp knife.

Cut the top off the orange


Hollow out the pulp inside the orange, then wash it out well.

Fill with fruit or a candle


Cut eyes, nose and mouth into the side of the orange peel, then use it as a simple, yet effective table decoration for Halloween night.
