Paper and Yarn Jelly Fish

Re-use your child's painting to make a fun Jelly Fish



Time: 10 minutes
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Medium

Materials
  • A painting by your child
  • White paper
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Sticky tape
  • Yarn
  • Hole puncher



  • Method
  • Fold the painting in half. The crease side will the the top of the jelly fish. Leaving the crease intact, cut out a jelly fish shape.


  • Draw two eyes on the white paper, cut them out, stick them to the jelly fish.



  • Open the jelly fish, painted side down.


  • Fold sticky tape over itself, making double sided tape. Stick this on the bottom edge of the jelly fish all the way across.


  • Cut numerous pieces of yarn, of similar lengths. Stick the end of each piece to the sticky tape.


  • Fold the jelly fish closed, and press down over the sticky tape.


  • Punch a hole at the top of the jelly fish so you can display this beautiful sea creature.
