Make your own gemstones headband with paper for a Wizard of Oz Halloween, or make it gold and silver for birthdays and New Year.

Time: 1 hour
Age: Over 10's
Level: Hard

Materials
Three shades of card stock paper, choose one with glitter.
Scissors
Headband
Double sided tape or sticky tape
Craft glue

Method
Draw out your template onto the back of your card stock, try it in 3 different sizes to add variety to your gemstones.

Cut out and fold along all the folds of the template.

Making the gemstone itself is a little trial and error and there are at least 2 shapes that can be made from the template.

Once you've found the shape you'd like to make add double sided tape on the smaller inside flaps, or use clear sticky tape around the exterior to hold your gemstone shape.

Set your head band in place so that it's upright, then gradually glue your emeralds/ gemstones one at a time to it. You can do this in layers. Doing the first layer and leaving it to dry before you add more layers.

Enjoy your emerald headband!
