This is a quick craft, that has bright results, that makes them want to do it again and again. A good way to brighten up a dull room.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy (toddlers may need assistance)

Materials
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Colourful papers (tissue, crepe, etc)
  • Optional: sweet wrappers and other clear coloured wrapping
  • Glue

  • Method
  • Get a piece of paper
  • Fold in half

  • Then fold in half two more times (more if larger piece of paper)

  • Cut shapes out of the edges of the paper (toddlers will need assistance, but will enjoy telling you where to cut)

  • Open the paper out to reveal a snow flake effect

  • Put glue all over the back of the paper

  • Tear up small pieces of coloured paper

  • Stick them down over different holes (windows) until they are all covered
  • Using lots of different colours of paper and sweet wrappers will change the effect
  • Hang up at a window or on a wall, on its own or with a few different ones to get a bright and colourful effect
