This craft is great for boys. It can also be easily customised for younger children. For example, you can use whole Paddle Pop sticks and buy some that are already coloured.

Time: 30 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Wooden peg
  • 3 Paddle Pop sticks
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paint and paintbrush

  • Method
  • Cut about a third off the end of one of the Paddle Pop sticks.

  • Cut the tip off the smaller end, making a diagonal cut.

  • Paint the Paddle Pop sticks (you can also paint the peg if you like). This step is the one that takes the most time.

  • Glue one whole Paddle Pop stick to the top of the peg, near the end that opens.

  • Glue another whole Paddle Pop stick to the other side of the peg, directly underneath the first.

  • Attach the cut Paddle Pop piece to the other end.

  • You can also use a whole Paddle Pop stick, as the can be quite tough to cut

  • Glue the small piece leftover to the middle of the stick you just attached.
