Purate, spyglass, telescope, fold paper cone

My kids went to a pirate party at the weekend and they had some great crafts to do at the start before the games began. They both really enjoyed making pirate telescopes. A grown up will need to help young ones with the folding and rolling but it's the decoration part which is most fun.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
Coloured paper
Sticky tape
Stickers, pens & jewels to decorate

Method
Start with a rectangle of paper.

Fold over two corners as shown.
Roll from one corner that has not been folded.

You'll find that it naturally starts to turn into a cone shape.
Roll up to leave one end wide, and a narrower opening at the other but large enough to look through.

Tape at the back.
Decorate with stickers, drawings and stick on jewels.

Can you spy treasure island?
