Plastic Bottle Raft

This is another craft idea for making a raft. This time we made use of some empty plastic bottles, cereal boxes and tape. They are really simple to make and will be a great accompaniment to a milk bottle raft . Let the kids make use of their creativity to decorate their rafts before playing.



Time: 15 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
  • 2 empty plastic bottles (600ml)
  • 1 cereal box or cardboard
  • Sticky tape
  • Scissors



  • Method
  • Cut the cardboard into a 23cm x 19cm rectangle.



  • Cover the glossy side of the cereal box with sticky tape.



  • Cut another piece of cardboard as shown in the picture below to make the sail. Decorate both cardboard pieces now if desired.



  • Tape the 2 plastic bottles together.



  • Place onto the rectangular cardboard and stick together with more tape.



  • Turn over and tape the sail as shown in the picture below
