Give a glue and stick craft a little extra dimension by creating a pocket and padding with tissue.

Heart, valentine, preschool, toddler, easy

Time: 20 minutes
Age: Under 5's
Level: Easy

Materials
Red paper
Glue
Decorations (we used sequins, small stars and aluminium foil scraps)
Tissue paper
Stapler

Method
Cut two identical hearts from red paper.

Heart, valentine, Mother's Day, preschool, toddler

Liberally apply glue, something my son loves doing.

Heart, valentine, Mother's Day, preschool, toddler

Stick on decorations.

Place the two hearts together with the decorated sides facing out.
Staple the hearts together around the outside but leave some room to stuff in some tissue paper. This will create the padded effect.
Once the heart has been stuffed, staple the gap closed.
