Method
Make a bird beak by cutting one triangle out of felt, approximately 3.5 cm across.
Glue the beak onto the bottom of a large craft puffball.

Popsicle Stick Bird
Make sure that there is about 1 cm of beak on the underside of the craft puffball. This will ensure the beak sticks to the bird.

Glue two eyes onto the top of the craft puffball.

Popsicle Stick Bird
You can use any size of googly eyes for this craft.

Put a large dollop of glue on the end on a coloured popsicle stick, and then glue the underside of the birds head onto the stick.

Popsicle Stick Bird
Press and hold the head onto the stick for a few minutes. This will ensure that the glue has a chance to dry.

On the remainder of the popsicle stick, allow your child to put small dollops of glue where he or she would like the feathers placed.
Stick the feathers onto the popsicle stick.

Popsicle Stick Bird
Again, press down on the feathers for a few moments while the glue has a chance to dry.

Allow the bird to dry overnight and then enjoy watching your child play with the new creation!

Popsicle Stick Bird
Why not make a flock of birds so that your child can invent stories about their new creations!
