Popsicle Stick Easel

Popsicle Stick Easel

Posted 2013-03-05 by Natasha Stewartfollow
Popsicle Sticks are one of the most multipurpose craft items around. This easel only requires 4 popsicle sticks, a pair of scissors and glue.

Time: 10 minutes
Age: 5-10s, Over 10s
Level: Easy

Materials
  • 4 Popsicle Sticks
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun (Or PVA Glue)

  • Method

  • Put a dab of glue on the top of one of the pop sticks. Press the other pop stick on top forming an A shape. I like to use a glue gun that dries instantly, but you can also use PVA glue, you'll just have to wait for it to dry before you use the easel.

  • Fix another pop stick to the back of the A-frame using the glue gun.

  • Measure the final pop stick against the easel, and cut it to a size that you like.

  • The easel is ready to go. You can use it as a piece of furniture in a dolls house, a holder for telephone notes, or just as a decoration.

  • These also make great name place settings for parties or special dinners. Just write each child's name on a piece of card, and prop them up using the easel. It works especially well if you're having an art themed party.

  • If your kids have a go at this activity, let us know what they're using their mini easel for.
