Princess Throne

Posted 2014-05-01 by Bastion Harrisonfollow

I found a uniquely shaped plastic container from something I had bought, and immediately it reminded me of a throne. The exact shape may be hard to come across, but there are all kinds of unusual shaped packaging out there. If you ever find something that inspires you or your kids, make something out of it. If you find something similar in shape to the plastic container I found, then get painting, because you can easily turn it into a throne fit for a princess, prince, king or queen.

Time: 15 minutes plus drying time
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Plastic container(s)
  • Paint (try regal colours like red and yellow/gold)
  • Paint brushes

  • Method

  • Paint the seat and back of the throne red (or your chosen colour)

  • Paint the rest of the throne yellow (or your chosen second colour.

  • Tips:

    1. Allow the first colour paint to dry before applying the second colour to prevent mixing.
    2. Painting on plastic can be tricky because it shows through. To make sure there are not any blank spaces, fill in the gaps, by painting the back as well.
