Zipper pulls are an easy way for kids to add their own signature to a backpack or jacket. When a favorite character changes, simply make a new zipper pull instead of replacing the whole backpack!
Time: 5 minutes (product will need to dry overnight)

Materials
Clean bottle caps (we purchased ours from a craft store with holes already in them)
Lanyard snaps (also purchased from craft store)
Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
Pick the sticker you would like to put in your bottle cap. Cut the sticker to the size of your bottle cap. If you have one on hand, an Australian 10 cent coin works perfectly as a template.
Stick the sticker in the bottle cap and cover with a layer of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. If there are bubbles, remove with a toothpick.
The Mod Podge Dimensional Magic will be cloudy when applied.
Leave to dry overnight. On reviews of the product, I have found the best place to let it dry is on top of the refrigerator away from drafts and temperature changes.
Add another layer if desired.
Insert the lanyard and fasten to your favourite jacket or backpack!
You can also use your own images to Mod Podge into bottle caps simply by printing them out. If you are using an inkjet printer, make sure to laminate them first before sticking into your bottle cap.
If you use an inkjet image without laminating, the image may bleed. We simply tried to distract from the bleeding by adding glitter!
From my own research, Mod Podge Dimensional Magic is meant to be a non toxic, water clean up replacement for resin. From what I can tell, it does not replace resin as there is problems with cracking, bubbles and cloudiness. However, the product is safe and easy for children to work with and if put in an area to dry with constant temperature and no drafts, the final product is good enough for a kid craft! Mod Podge Dimensional Magic is available at craft stores and Walmart in North America, at scrapbooking craft stores in the UK and online in Australia.
