This is a cute card with an Easter theme. It gives the freshness of spring that this festive season brings along. It uses no fancy materials and is very easy to make.

Time: 30 minutes
Age: 5-10's
Level: Easy

Ends of cut veggies which usually go straight to the trash can. I have used the 2 ends of a carrot and okra.
Card (preferably light blue colour)

I have used the stout end of the cut carrot to make the body of the chick and the thin end to make the head.

Colour the flat surface of carrot ends in yellow paint, place on the card, close the bottom and press firmly in one place. Make 3 to 4 stamps like this, well spaced.

Now dip the the thinner end in yellow and make similar stamps close to the body such that the circles slightly overlap.

Use the back end of a fork, dipped in green paint to create the grass. Here, you could use different shades of green for the effect.

With a black marker, draw eyes, beak and legs for the chicks. With a little yellow paint (or sketch pen) draw a small tuft of feather on the head.

Take the ends of okra (various sizes), colour with red, orange, pink and stamp randomly over the grass to create flowers.

Use the thicker carrot (used previously) dipped in yellow or orange or both to draw a sun.

I have used a thick end of an okra, dipped in white to draw clouds.

Your cute little card is ready. You make fold it like a greeting card and write your message inside. Or there is ample space on the card to put your 'Happy Easter' message.
