Imaginative play is regarded as a great way for children to develop problem-solving skills and lateral thinking. These easy cardboard shields will put your little knight into another time period and open up a new world of play!
: 15 minutes (plus drying time for paint)
: Under 5's, 5-10's
Note: I had 10 shields to do and thought spray painting them would be faster. I used one whole can to do one coat on one side of the shield. I picked up the craft paint the next day. One medium sized bottle did two coats on one side, was one quarter the cost, was less smelly and the kids could help.
We did these shields for a knight and princess birthday party. The shields were prepared ahead of time, the kids decorated them at the party and got to take them home!
