Before you start into learning and writing letters with your kids, it's great to practise with pen control first. This is a fun activity that can also help with colour and number recognition.

Time: 10 minutes
Age: Under 5's
Level: Easy

Materials
Paper
Pen
Glue
Coloured paper and circle punch or sticky dots

Method
Start with a blank piece of paper.
Stick on sticky dots or if you have a circle punch you can cut them from an old painting and glue on as I did.

For one activity, I randomly numbered the dots.
For the second I selected several different colours.

Your child can join the dots in number order or join the same colours together.
