These frozen chocolatey kiwi pops taste amazing. They are easy and fun for kids of any age to make with a little help from an adult to peel and cut the fruit. Enjoy as a treat on a sunny day or make as as a fun party food for a birthday celebration.
Time: 15 minutes plus 1 hour freezing time
Age: Any age
Level: Easy
Materials
Creates 6 pops
1 teaspoon oil (we used olive oil)
Method
Cut the ends off the kiwi then slice the skin off the kiwi with a knife. (Get an adult to do this step).
Cut each kiwi into 3 slices and stick a popsicle stick in each slice.
Lay out on freezer paper or a freezer-proof tray

Ready to freeze
Freeze for at least an hour
Break chocolate into chunks and put into a microwave-safe dish.

Ready to melt
Melt the chocolate in the microwave on low power for 20 seconds at a time until the chocolate is just melted. Don't let it bubble.
Stir in a tablespoon of oil (we used olive oil) to the melted chocolate.
Take the kiwi out of the freezer.
Dip the kiwi pops into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to help cover the fruit with chocolate.
The chocolate will harden quickly on the frozen fruit. Lay the chocolate pops back on the freezer paper. Add 100s and 1000s sprinkles for extra colour before the chocolate has fully set.

Adding sprinkles
You can eat straight away or pop back into the freezer to save for later.

Ready to eat

Yum!
Enjoy!
