Create an I Spy Bag for your toddler or preschooler to keep them occupied during a road trip, flight or anytime! The bag is also a great activity for a busy box. This easy sew project is quick and re-purposes materials you likely already have on hand.

Materials
Small trinkets
Thick plastic
Rice, poly pellets or clear beads
Fabric
Coordinating thread
Sewing machine
Photo paper
Ribbon
Self laminating sheets
Split key ring

Method
Collect about 20 items for your bag. Some ideas include birthday bag trinkets, kinder surprise prizes, buttons or beads, small erasers and other stationary supplies.
Arrange your trinkets on a plain background so that you can get a good picture of them. Take the picture and print it out. Laminate the photo with a self laminating sheet.

Cut two pictures of fabric 7 inches by 7 inches.

Measure a 5 inch by 5 inch square and cut across the diagonal. Iron the pieces back to hem.

Cut a piece of plastic about 6 inches by 6 inches to sew into the fabric.

Cut a piece of ribbon, loop on your split key ring and pin into your other piece of fabric.

Lay the fabric pieces right side to right side. Sew up the pieces leaving a small opening to fill the bag.
Add the rice and trinkets.
Sew up the bag - it will help to keep the bag on the right side of the needle.

Slide on your picture and your bag is complete!
