Send an original gift of thanks to family and friends! Thanksgiving in Canada is celebrated the second Monday of October when families typically gather with friends and family to celebrate the harvest. These turkey handprint cards are a great way to inspire children to give thanks!

Thanksgiving card

Time: 10 minutes plus drying time for glue and paint
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Cardstock or heavy craft paper
Various colours of kid's paint
Paint brush
Rag for dirty hands
Googly eyes
Glue
Felt pens

Method
Paint the palm of a hand and the thumb brown.
Paint each finger a different colour.

Thanksgiving card

Place hand on your cardstock or craft paper. Press firmly to ensure good paint transfer. Remove the hand.

Allow the print to dry.
Glue on a googly eye. Draw in a beak, feet and wattle (the fleshy part hanging from the neck).
