Halloween Watermelon Lantern
Ready for Trick or Treaters
Halloween lanterns are traditionally carved out of pumpkins in North America or turnips in Ireland. In Australia, try carving a watermelon instead. They are often cheaper than Halloween pumpkins and the flesh is much easier for young kids to scoop out. Enjoy eating the scooped-out watermelon as you make the lantern or whizz into a juice.

You can now put a tealight candle into the bottom of your lantern and replace the lid.
