Pom Pom

There's something very appealing about pom poms. They're fluffy, soft and fun. Once you have made your pom poms you can do lots with them from using them as very soft balls, to sewing on a hat or creating fun little creatures.

Method
Draw two circles on your cardboard. The larger the circle the bigger the pom pom. Cereal boxes are good for this.
Cut out a circle inside each of your cardboard circles, creating two doughnut shapes.
Cut your wool into lengths. I found that 200cm was the longest I could do without it getting too difficult to handle.
Place the two pieces of cardboard together.

Tie the wool around the cardboard and then start winding all around.

You don't need to join the pieces of wool, just keep adding more.
Once your cardboard is well wrapped up the tricky bit starts. The more wool you wrap around, the denser your pom pom will be.

With a sharp pair of scissors start snipping the wool on the outside of the circle. You won't get through a full layer initially so just keep going gently.

Carefully cut all away around.
Slip a piece of wool between the cardboard circles and tie a double knot.
Pull off the cardboard and fluff up your pom pom
