These handprints could be used to decorate a card for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day or just for someone you love.

Materials

Card

Red paint

Paper

Method

Cut a heart shape from some paper, smaller than the palm of your child.

Stick the heart on their palm, we used a little double sided tape to keep it in place.

Paint their hand red. This part can be quite tickly and will generate a few giggles.

Remove the heart and let your child stamp their hand on a card.

Alternatively, place the paper heart on a piece of paper.

Paint your child's hand red and let them gently stamp it on the paper with the heart to the centre of their palm.

Carefully remove the paper heart to reveal the heart shape below.
