Draughts or checkers is an easy game to learn as there are not many rules. The trick is working out a strategy and learning to look at the bigger picture - and having to sacrifice pieces at some point.
Print out some Draughts board bases to make, learn to play the game and get playing!

Method
Printout the Draughts board base of your choice
Print your download
Grab your paints and colour the grid
Fill the grid with colours of your choice. You could try patterns for something different.
Trim along outer edges
A cardboard base makes the board stronger and last longer
Cut a piece of card larger than the draughts board printout, mark where the printout will go and paint the rest of the cardboard for the games board base
Ready to play
Glue the grid to the cardboard base.
Grab some buttons, stones or beads to use as counters and get playing.
