Rainbow Thank You Card

Brighten someone's day with a beautiful rainbow thank you card! Easy for little ones to make, you can introduce children to the colours of the rainbow and sing along to the craft if you want!.


Time: 10 minutes (plus drying time for paint)
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Heavy craft paper or card stock
  • Paint - all the colours of the rainbow
  • Paint brush
  • Thank you stamp or paper

    • Method
  • Fold your card stock or craft paper to the desired size. We wanted to create two small cards so we folder our sheet in half and painted on one side.
  • Start painting your rainbow by making one long strip of each colour across your page.


  • Sing your favourite rainbow song.

    • I CAN SING A RAINBOW
    Red and yellow and pink and green,
    Purple and orange and blue.
    I can sing a rainbow,
    Sing a rainbow,
    You can sing one too!

    Listen with your eyes,
    Listen with your eyes,
    And sing everything you see.
    You can sing a rainbow,
    Sing a rainbow,
    Sing a long with me.

    Red and yellow and pink and green,
    Purple and orange and blue.
    You can sing a rainbow,
    Sing a rainbow,
    Now you've sung one too!


  • Let the paint dry and add your "Thank You" note.

    • We used purple in the background of our thank you as we ran out of room for our paint

  • Add your personal note and bring a rainbow to someone special!
