Method
Cut your ribbon to a suitable length by measuring ribbon around your book or diary and roughly cut where the two ends meet.
Sew the button to one end securely, hiding the end underneath.
Making a loop on the other end, place the hair tie in and sew to loosely secure the tie, hiding the end underneath.
Your bookmark is now ready to be used. Secure with the tie around the button.
