Salt dough is cheap to make but can create some lasting decorations. Unpack the handprint Santa each year and your child can see how much their had has grown.

Time: 20 minutes plus drying time for the salt dough
Age: Under 5's
Level: Easy

Materials
Red and white paint
Fine black marker or black paint

Method
Roll out a piece of salt dough, so that it is larger than your child's hand and a few centimetres thick.
Let your child make a firm handprint into the salt dough. For step by steps tips, click here
Leave to dry overnight or in a very low temperature oven until fully dry.
Paint in Santa's details.
