Smartie Birthday Cake

This is a bit of a cheat, creating a wow birthday cake with only the fun decoration part to do and none of the cooking. The decoration is simple but really effective and my son loved being able to do it all himself.

Time: 20 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
Shop bought sponge cake or you could make your own
Butter icing
Smarties
Chocolate fingers

Boring shop bought sponge cake waiting to be transformed

Method
Smother the cake in butter icing, over the top and on the sides.

Surround the sides with chocolate fingers. They will stick to the cake with the butter icing.

Cover the top with Smarties and then of course add candles.
