Snowman Egg

Make boiled eggs fun to eat with this playful looking edible snowman egg - they would make a perfect decoration for the winter/Christmas table. This is a great, healthy way to use up any extra eggs you may have lying around.

Eggs ready to boil

Materials

2 boiled eggs

1 carrot

10 cloves

1 bamboo skewer

Method

Cut a large and a small carrot round to make a snow man "hat".

Slice a little bit off the top and bottom of the boiled eggs so that they can sit on a flat surface without rolling away (cheeky things), then place the carrot "hat" on top of one egg, which will be the "head".

Poke the bamboo skewer through the snow man's "head" and "body", to make it stay together.

Add clove "eyes" and "buttons". (If you don't want to use cloves you could also use currants as the "eyes", and a carrot for the "nose/arms" etc)

Now your snowman egg is ready to decorate the table and eventually be eaten. Perhaps you could make a whole family of snowmen eggs? Enjoy.
