This is a fun and cheap craft to do in the build up to Christmas, and can be made in a group or individual setting.
Time: 20 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Medium (easy if adult has cut out the bits first)
Materials
Tissue paper and or buttons
Draw around a plate on a piece of card
Cut the circle in half (only need one half per snowman). This is the body.
Add a neck. This is the head
Cut a hat shape out of black paper (checking it is the same size as the head)
Cut a triangle out of orange card to make a carrot nose
Stick the head to body by overlapping the neck in the middle of the flat edge
Turn it over and stick on the carrot nose to the snowman's face and draw on eyes and a mouth.
Attach three buttons down the front of the body (or scrunch up a small square of tissue paper to make a button)
Form a cone shape with the body so it will stand
Cut a long strip of tissue paper and knot around the snowman's neck to make a scarf
