Method
First protect your area from paint over spray by covering the table or ground with the drop cloth.
Spray the entire canvas with your choice of colour. We used blue.
Next use the masking tape to make lines on the canvas. One or two is ideal for the first paint.
Leave the previous tape on and add another couple of strips.

Adding the tape

Then spray the canvas with your second colour. Orange was our choice.
Repeat by adding more strips of tape and then spray on your last colour.

Spraying on the paint

Leave to dry in the sun for around 30 minutes.
Once it is dry you can carefully peel off the masking tape to reveal the patterned layers underneath.

You could also do different patterns or shapes with the masking tape.
