Dads need socks and when they are on sale it is a good idea to grab them - but don't just think of Dads ... think of uncles, sons, brothers, grand dads and friends.

If there is more than one adult male in the house that you want to give a gift to, knowing whose socks are whose might be a problem. Not so if you stencil them.

Trace and cut shapes.

Print out the download, place on top of cardboard and trace around the shapes with a ballpoint pen. Take away the download and you will see the shapes indented into the cardboard.

Use a craft knife to cut out shapes.

Protect the back of the sock

Put some newspaper inside the sock
Lay stencil on top of sock
Apply fabric paint with a brush or sponge

Getting busy ...

When the fabric paint is dry, pop a cloth over the top of the design and give it a quick dry iron to further set the image.

Lucky Dad!
