Bring sunshine to someone's day by making these sunflower pens! An easy gift for Mother's Day, a teacher appreciation gift or even a birthday gift!
Time: 5 minutes per pen
Age: 5-10's, Over 10's
Level: Easy
Materials
Ballpoint pens with removable tops
Method
Remove the lid and end piece from a ballpoint pen. Depending on your end piece, you may just be able to leave it out or if it is like mine, I had to cut the tip of and screw the end back on.
Pull a flower off of its stem. Cheaper, dollar store silk flowers will work better as the flower easily removes from its stem. Glue the flower into the space that you created at the end of the pen.
Wrap the pen in the floral tape from tip to the flower. Glue the end of the tape to secure it at the flower.
Place the lid back on the pen.
Tie up with a note pad for a small gift.
Put a bunch of sunflower pens in a pot for a teacher appreciation gift. Try making these
chalkboard paint pots to display your pens.
