Here's a very easy recipe to make a stretchy play dough that doesn't dry out quickly. It uses just three ingredients and doesn't need any heat so is ideal to make with young kids, or out in the garden on a sunny day.
Time: 5 minutes to make
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy
Materials
Food colouring (optional)

Just a few ingredients
Method
Put a cup of plain flour in a bowl.
Squirt on washing up liquid.
Mix with spoons or hands.
Add more washing up liquid until you get the dough consistency you want.
Add a capful of food colouring and knead in to the dough.
This makes a soft stretchy dough which can be rolled and molded. Have fun using a rolling pin or cutting it up with safety scissors to practice fine motor skills.
