Greeting Card (120)

When it comes to writing a message inside a card, be very specific. Ideally, the outside and inside of the card should complement each other in terms of color, pattern, images or font but you can always make an exception. Sometimes, things done slightly different from the routine are captivating and appreciated as well. But, some of the elements such as balance, proportion, symmetry, theme and color must be kept same. So, remember these while writing a message.

Here are few tips that will help you write an attractive message inside your greeting card for different occasions.

Weddings

Whether it is your nearest and dearest one's wedding or a formal wedding, always make the couple feel special. If you have prepared a customized greeting card, make it more attractive with your message. You can use waste strips of the same paper used for preparing the card, for writing a message inside. You can use the following examples:

Warmest congratulations
Heartfelt congratulations
Congratulations to both the love birds

These are a few formal ways to greet the couple. If you want to be informal tell them

You love them both
You are extremely happy to see them finally getting married.

But if you are very close, greet them with a funny message or quote. A smile is the best gift you can gift someone on his/her big day.

Birthdays

Wishing a birthday in a unique way is as much fun as writing a captivating message inside.

You can use the used or unused postal stamps for writing the message. Paste the stamps in a casual manner to give it an informal look. You can also use alphabet stamps, if you don't want to be informal.

Split your message to both the sides – inner and outer. For instance, write 'have a', on the outer leaf of your customized card and 'great birthday', inside it. This is a nice way to add a “surprise factor” in the card.

Christmas cards

Making customized cards for Christmas can be huge fun. You can play with so many ideas to make Christmas greeting cards:

Either use embellishments for decorating the cards from outside or use them to write beautiful messages inside it or both. Make us of breads, small buttons, tags, ribbons, beads etc. But remember, this will make your card heavy, so you would require a thick envelope to hold your card.

Since it is Christmas, you can use cotton to depict snow and can even use it to write a message. Either paste cotton to depict snowfall and write a message with sparkle or a pen or use cotton itself by coloring it into Christmas colors. Your receiver will not find it any lesser than a snowfall on a Christmas eve.

Write Christmas poems and jingles rather than plain messages.

Thank You cards

Thank you is generally a formal greeting, so you should either use a plain printed card or a note. It also depends on whom you are going to send or hand it to. Is it your close friend, your colleague, your teacher or your parents. You can:

Make it in a form of book cover or a beautiful file cover and write with a fountain pen to give a real thank you feel to the receiver. Write a touching note for example

Thank you for your incredible kindness.
Thank you for sending flowers
I am very grateful for your help

Try to make it appear vintage by using hand made paper sheet to write a message. Make it in a shape that the person you are addressing feels connected and is able to make out how thankful you are to him.

Love cards

To write a love message is easy and difficult at the same time. Things which you can't say to your loved ones on face, you can always write it down but it is often difficult to pen down your feelings. So if you are doing it, do it in an attractive way:

Have you ever thought of using feathers to write your message inside a beautiful greeting card?

A simple 'I love you' using feathers can say a lot about how you feel about a person.

If feathers are not enough, go and pluck a flower from your garden and use its petals to say how you really feel. It isn't difficult. But remember not to use extra glue to stick petals as it will make your card look bulky and untidy. Paste it nicely and gracefully.

I hope, now you have an idea about writing beautiful messages in a beautiful manner in a beautifully decorated card. You can also experiment with other things that you may have in your mind. This way your receiver would feel the warmth of your words and will appreciate your hard work.
