This octopus has to be one of the easiest animal creations you can make with a toilet paper roll, making it a great activity for young kids.
Time: 15 minutes
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Toilet paper roll
Paint and paintbrush
Paint your toilet paper roll.
Let it dry.
Add some eyes in the top half of the roll. I did mine with a marker, but you can paint yours on too.
Make eight cuts in the base of the roll, equal distance apart, creating eight identical flaps. They should stop about halfway up. An easy way to make sure they are all the same size is to make cuts on each side of the roll, then two more halfway between these, then make cuts in the middle of each of the remaining quarters.
Curl these flaps outwards to make the legs of your octopus.
