Toot Toot

Anything that involves noise is a hit with my pre school son and the louder the better. He also loves covering endless pieces of paper with paint so we used a 'pink picture' to cover our cardboard tube. You could easily use some old wrapping paper or cover it in stickers instead.

Time: 10 minutes
Age: Under 5's
Level: Easy

Materials
1 empty kitchen roll cardboard tube
Wrapping paper or piece of painted paper
Small piece of tissue paper
Elastic band
Skewer
Sticky tape

Method
Wrap the kitchen roll cardboard tube in a piece of wrapping paper or painted paper, leaving the ends open.

Secure closed with some sticky tape along the length.
Skewer a few holes down the centre.

Ask an adult to pierce the holes

Place a piece of tissue paper over one end and hold in place with an elastic band.

Toot into the other end and enjoy the noise.

Why not try starting a band with friends making your own musical instruments.
