Here's a quick, cheap and easy activity for a rainy day. All you need is a selection of toys, paper and decoration materials.

Materials
Selection of toys (we used toy vehicles)
Decoration items (e.g. pens or crayons, buttons and glue etc)
Set out a selection of toys and pick one together.
Look at the shape of the toy.
Draw around the toy with a black pen onto a piece of paper. Lift the toy to reveal the outline.
Explore different shapes
Ready to draw on windows and decorate
Add in any features to the outline - e.g. windows.
Have fun decorating the outline. You could try simple colouring in or stick on buttons for wheels.
