Valentines Day Hugging Heart

A sweet hugging heart makes the perfect Valentine's Day gift. It is easy to make for young and older children and they will enjoy playing with it or giving it as a gift to dad, mum or a friend on Valentine's Day.

Time: 10 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Red paper
  • Scissors
  • Black texta
  • Glue or a stapler

    Method
  • Draw a heart shape on to the red piece of paper.
  • Cut around it with scissors.

  • Draw a face on the heart.

  • Once the heart is cut, take some of the remainder of the red paper to cut two long, thin strips of equal size.

  • Fold both of the strips back and forth into 1 cm strips so that they look like this.

  • Gently stretch them out so that they retain a little of the fold lines.

  • Glue or staple these to the back of the heart.

  • There you have it, a fun, friendly looking hugging heart to give your loved one as a gift this Valentine's Day!
