Window box, recycled, kids, summer

Create your own window box to brighten up a room or use to add decoration to a cardboard box playhouse as my kids did.

Time: 20 minutes
Age: 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Shallow long cardboard box or just cut down a cereal box to size.
Glue
Items to stick on the box
Paint, glitter or anything you like to decorate
Tissue paper
Sticky tape
Homemade flowers

Method
We had some handy boxes left from a delivery that inspired this creation but you could easily cut down a cereal box to size.

Cardboard, shallow box

Let your kids use their imagination to plan and decorate their boxes. We used a mixture of glitter glue, stickers and bits and pieces to stick on the box.
Tape some homemade flowers to the inside of the box. If you need some ideas you could try these sweet wrapper flowers or felt flower sticks , just click on the blue links.

Scrunch up some tissue paper and fill in the box.

Your window boxes are ready to display or try attaching them to a cardboard box playhouse.
