I developed Rubboo to help children understand the basics of construction. Unlike most construction toys, Rubboo is not based on a ridged format. The nature of Rubboo allows the builder to manipulate the components according to their needs; in short, problem solving.
Rubboo consists of 190 bamboo sticks and 250 rubber bands. The rubber bands connect the sticks together to create a frame. The frame can be either left as is, or clad with materials such as cardboard or paper.
Rubboo is suited to children from 10 years and above, although my 7 year old son does play, with a little help from Dad.
The example models that I have attached have been made with Rubboo, a craft knife, glue and a fine pen.
